RESTRICTED AND FORBIDDEN GOODS

There are some FORBIDDEN goods that DHL can't transport, not only for legal purposes but because of our company's policy. On the other hand, some goods are RESTRICTED depending on the particularities of the recipient country.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

DOCUMENTATION TO BE PRESENTED WITH THE SHIPMENT:

For the shipment of goods outside the European Union or to the Canaries you will need to give or send your ID's photocopy to your DHL Service Point, as well as the delivery note and the declaration that you are sending ir, that will be prepared at the Service Point. This documentation is required by Spanish Customs and the recipient country's Customs

TAXES:

The shipment of goods to a Non-European Country or to the Canaries might generate expenses on the recipient country's customs that are NOT included on the shipment's price. These costs are established by the recipient goverment and have nothing to do with DHL. If these kind of expenses or taxes arise at the country's customs, the cost will have to be paid by the addressee

RESPONSABILITY:

All goods transported by DHL will be insured according to the Transportation Law.

01. Regarding International Shipments, the customer shall be compensated with $100 or the value resulting from multiplying the weight of the package (in kgs) by $20: we will pay you the highest amount of the two, as legislated by the current law for air transport.

02.Regarding National Shipments, witch traveling by land, we will compensate according to the LOTT. In this case, DHL's responsability is limited to the real moneatary value of the transported goods, without exceeding 4.5€ per kg.

This only applies if the demonstrable value of the goods exceeds the maximum compensation. If not, compensation is made for the value of the goods.

In addition to the aforementioned insurance, DHL offers its customers the option to insure your shipment against all risk.
